Every young person
deserves to feel
understood.

“I thought I was the only one.”

This is what we often hear from the girls we serve.

Whether they're in the care of a loving foster family or facing more uncertain circumstances, they share an unspoken loneliness they've never been able to fully express.

Until they find Nestling and suddenly realize: "I'm not the only one."

Founded by Malky Schwartz after her journey through foster care, Nestling was born from a simple question: "What kind of support would I have appreciated most?"

What care means
at Nestling

Understanding,
not sympathy

We don’t guess what helps — we remember. Our team personally knows what it's like to be unseen, unsupported, or simply not understood, even when in a loving foster family. This allows us to provide each young person with the care we once longed for.

Community that
becomes family

Nestling creates spaces — like Shabbatons, events, and peer meetups — where teens and young adults connect with others who understand what they’re going through. For many, these connections grow beyond friendship into a chosen family.

Community that
shows up

From a care package that arrives just in time for Yom Tov to a mentor who picks up the phone when everything feels overwhelming, to having a rov on call for sensitive questions — we provide tangible support precisely when and how it's needed.

Dignity in every
step forward

We believe every young person has strength, worth, and a future that’s theirs to shape. That’s why we're not about "fixing," but empowering — whether it’s guidance through shidduchim, learning how to manage money, or just providing a non-judgmental ear.
